Summer Family Session

I met the Patel family for updated family portraits at a local park in Appleton, WI this summer. I say it every year, but you don’t have to wait until fall for family photos – really! Summer is beautiful with lush green grass and wildflowers. I love the vibrant colors of summer compared to the darker tones of fall. We talked from the beginning about what products they might like to have in their house. This made their viewing and ordering session run much smoother! 

My favorite moments from this session were their kids’ sweet interactions. They were so willing to hug and love on each other. Not every family session goes this way, but when it does I capitalize on it! I loved that they were able to take time and just be together. We ended their session with bubbles and left on a high note.

After the Session 

After their session, they viewed their photos on their TV in a slideshow set to music. Our biggest problem was narrowing it down because there were so many great photos! We got all decisions on printing made during the meeting. That way I was able to get their orders in right away and deliver their products quicker. I know it can be tricky for families to know where to print, what to print, and actually get around to printing.
