A Guide to Photo Locations in Appleton, WI and the Fox Cities.

Living in the Fox Cities, there are no shortage of beautiful locations for your next family photo shoot. We are so lucky to be surrounded by beautiful landscapes. But with so many choices and possibilities, it can feel overwhelming to make a choice. Let me help you decide the best photography locations in Appleton, WI for your next session.

The first place we think of when are looking for a place to take photos is a park. These are great options because they’re public, open all the time, and are gorgeous. While a beautiful backdrop makes for some amazing photos, keep in mind photographers can make small spaces feel big and beautiful too. Some of my favorite locations to shoot in are nature preserves, state parks, and local parks.

Here are some ideas for your next family photography session, maternity photography session, or senior photography session.

These make my list for the best photography locations in Appleton, WI but the best location also depends on the time of day of your shoot. I prefer to shoot closer to sunset, about 1-2 hours before the sunsets. This helps soften the light and provides better shooting conditions. This opens up most of these locations as great choices for a family, maternity, or senior photography session. Locations also look different depending on the time of year, so it’s best to check it out before a shoot. I hope this helped spark some new ideas for photography locations near Appleton, WI for your next photoshoot!
